The holistic approach to health considers the human being as an indivisible whole, with all its interconnected dimensions: physical, mental, emotional, social and environmental. It is opposed to the fragmentation of health determinants. This approach is largely supported by the biopsychosocial model, and aims for a global understanding of the whole person, including taking into account the fluctuation of our states of being over the course of life.
Health literacy refers to a person's ability to recognize how they feel (physically, mentally and emotionally), to communicate their concerns and needs in relation to their well-being, and to feel equipped to take action about their health, whether to maintain or improve it, using available informations and tools.
At the moment, the pilot project is financially supported by the people involved, who are mainly giving their time and expertise free of charge.
Our team is based in Tiohtià:ke (Montreal), but we're mostly nomadic. Don't hesitate to invite us to your place, we love discovering new spaces.
We do not offer individual consultations or coaching. However, we can recommend professionals who share our values.
